BioMed Image Archive

The BioMed Image Archive is an online collection of about 8500 medical, dental, and veterinary images for use in teaching and learning. All the images have been donated by academics working in the biomedical fields in different countries. As a general rule, the images can be used free of charge in learning and teaching. Science, Medicine, and Animals

"Science, Medicine, and Animals discusses how animals have been and continue to be an important component of biomedical research. It addresses the history of animal research and what it looks like today, and gives an overview of some of the medical advances that would not have been possible without animal models. Finally, it looks at the regulations and oversight governing animal use, as well as efforts to use animals more humanely and efficiently. This National Academies Press book may be read online free.
