National Aging Research Institute Publications

NARI is located at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. The organisation conducts gerontological research covering all aspects of aging with the aim of improving the quality of life and health of older people. There is an extensive bibliography of the Institute's publications on this site and the full text can be accessed for some.

Nursing Review Nursing Review is a newspaper specialising in all aspects of the nursing profession. Topics include, aged care, emergency nursing, agency nursing, palliative care, health, educational areas of interest, ethical dilemmas, and the social and political concerns of nursing. Full text issues may be viewed or down loaded.
PubMed The site allows access to medical citations, and full text documents from the U.S National Library of Medicine. Links to full text articles are available, with numerous medical databases and electronic resources linked to the home page.

Australian Institute of Health and Welfare The Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) is Australia's national agency for health and welfare statistics and information. Its mission is to improve the health and well-being of Australians.
The Australian Nursing Federation The Nursing Federation site contains information concerning the Nursing Profession. All Australian States and Territories are represented with information on, wages & awards, relevant nursing publications and newsletters, health industry concerns and an employment page. The site also links to the National Enrolled Nurse Association and other nursing organisations.
Australian Nursing Federation (Victoria) The Australian Nursing Federation (Victorian Branch) is an organisation that represents nurses concerns. Professional and industry information is made available to members, while news and current issues concerning nurses, nursing services, hospitals, and all aspects of the health professions, are an integral part of the site.
Australian nursing and midwifery council The ANMC promotes a national standards framework for nursing and midwifery practice in Australia.

CareSearch palliative care knowledge network  CareSearch palliative care knowledge network is an online resource consolidating evidence-based and quality information for various groups within the palliative care community. The website has been funded by the Australian Government as part of the National Palliative Care Program.
New Zealand College of Mental Health Nurses The site represents the professional body for New Zealand mental health nurses. Current conferences, news and current issues, links to mental health web sites and publications concerning mental health issues are featured.
Nurses board of Victoria It is the regulatory body that registers nurses and require an annual renewal of their status. The NBV publishes codes, standards & guidelines on their website.
Royal College of Nursing, Australia The Royal College of Nursing web site promotes nursing and health care by providing information that includes nursing publications, media releases, nursing scholarships, graduate positions, nursing networks and relevant events such as conferences and health promotions. The Royal College of Nursing is not an academic institute and does not offer nursing courses.

Disability Information Network Australia (DINA) Disability Information Network Australia (DINA) (Victoria) is a group of disability information providers with interest in resource and information sharing and networking. DINA has evolved as a forum for networking and as a catalyst for developments in the disability information field.
Paraquad Victoria ParaQuad Victoria (Paraplegic and Quadriplegic Association), is a not-for-profit organisation providing community based services to enable people with a physical disability to achieve their desired quality of life. The Association has particular expertise in the area of spinal cord injuries and polio, but also provides services to people with other physical disabilities.
