Aged and Community Services Australia A national peak body in Australia representing over 1400 church and charitable organisations providing accomodation and care services to older Australians. The site provide links to several publications and conferences.
Aged Care in Victoria The Victorian State Government Aged Care Web site that provides information relating to Aged Care programs, policies and services for both professionals and the public. 
Australian Department of Health and Aging Extensive government information on aged care for consumers and health professionals.
Council On The Ageing (COTA) Protects and promotes the well-being of older people. It is an independent consumer organisation run by and for all older Australians, with links to state/territory Councils. Maintains a calendar of conferences on ageing issues and includes "Table of Contents" to its journal - Australasian Journal on Ageing.
National Ageing Research Institute Incorporated The National Ageing Research Institute (NARI) researches into ageing and improving the quality of life and health of older people. NARI conducts research in the community, hospital and residential care settings.
Senior Portal The Seniors Portal is a customer-focussed, easy access, single government resource site, which has been created to provide a simplified approach for consumers, professionals and community members to search on-line for care related government and agency information services and policies regarding Older Australians.
Associations
Alzheimer's Association of Australia Alzheimer's Australia provides support and advocacy for the 500,000 Australians living with dementia. The site provides links to FAQ's, Services & Support, Education & Training, publications and research, etc. Alzheimer's Association of Australia also provide's a link to information in other languages.
Australian Association of Social Workers The AASW is the professional representative body of social workers in Australia.  AASW provides various information for social workers including publications.
The Association of Children's Welfare Agencies The Association of Children's Welfare Agencies (ACWA) supports non government agencies and aims at improving the quality of services to children and young people who need to live away from their families. This site provides press releases, submissions, research reports and reviews, and issues papers, and some of the policy relevant information resources from the Association.
Carers Australia Carers Australia is a national, non-profit organisation dedicated to improving the lives of carers.There are links to State Carers sites, policy & research, information & resources and news.
Abused Child Trust This organisation provides specialised services for abused children and their families through individualised therapy programs in order to enable the child to achieve his or her full potential. The site includes statistics and tip sheets.

Australian Domestic and Family Violence Clearing house The Clearinghouse is a central point for the collection and dissemination of Australian domestic and family violence policy, practice and research. It aims to meet the information needs of government agencies, generalist and specialist service providers, researchers and interested members of the public. Full text newsletter articles and issue papers are available. There are also many resources that are indexed.

National Association for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect NAPCAN  NAPCAN is the National Association for Prevention of Child Abuse & Neglect. It is a non government, not for profit, volunteer based organisation. This site includes numerous fact sheets and other educational resources.
National Child Protection Clearinghouse The National Child Protection Clearinghouse is funded by the Commonwealth Department of Family and Community Services under the auspices of the Australian Council for Children and Parenting as part of the Commonwealth's response to the problem of child abuse. The National Child Protection Clearinghouse, which has operated from the Australian Institute of Family Studies since 1995, provides information service to workers in the field. Information found at his site includes a full text newsletter, the Family and Society abstracts database and an email discussion list.

Aussie Educator : Special Education This site provides numerous links to web pages to the following topics: behavioural disturbed, hearing impaired, learning impaired, vision impaired, physically impaired, as well as general information on disabilities. It was designed with teachers in mind, but is useful for all professionals and the general public interested in disability issues.
Carers Australia This national body represents the interests of carers who support children and adults who have a disability, mental illness, chronic condition or who are frail aged. Submissions made by it are available in PDF format under Research, Policy & Advocacy; a useful Links section includes a listing of web sites by topic.

Australian Council of Social Service The Australian Council of Social Service (ACOSS) is the national peak council of the community welfare sector in Australia - the principal voice of low income and disadvantaged people in social and economic policy matters. ACOSS aim is to end poverty and help build a just and inclusive society that values difference and the right of all people and communities to the social and economic resources they need to control their own lives.
Brotherhood of St. Laurence The BSL has developed into an independent organisation with strong Anglican and community links, continuing to fight for an Australian free of poverty. Australian Social Policy This is an excellent and extensive website that aims at compiling reports and other research reports on Australian social and cultural policy. Australian Policy Online has eighty member centres and institutes and is maintained by Institute for Social Research at Swinburne University. Reports and other new material from the members are listed in the topics section, which is arranged in sixteen subject areas, from health and education to cities & suburbs and the environment. This website is an online companion to the publication Reporting suicide and mental illness - a resource for media professionals. The resource was developed with the assistance of media professionals, suicide and mental health experts and consumer organisations to inform responsible and appropriate reporting of suicide and mental illness, to minimise harm and copycat behaviour, and reduce the stigma and discrimination experienced by people who have or have had a mental illness.
