Information Commons Membership

Membership of the Information Commons is available to the following groups:

Students and Staff

Currently enrolled students and staff of the Institute have access to the resources of the Information Commons, including the electronic databases delivered through the network and home page.

After finishing studies at Holmesglen Institute of TAFE, students can request continuing membership of the Information Commons. A membership fee is charged for this service.

Reciprocal Borrowers
Students and staff can borrow from other Victorian educational institutions through the CAVAL Reciprocal Borrowing Program. Note: External and CAVAL borrowers do not have access to computer facilities within the Information Commons.

External borrowers - some restrictions apply
External borrowers include:

  • Graduates of Holmesglen Institute of TAFE
  • Members of the community

The Information Commons reserves the right to deny borrowing privileges to those lacking proper identification.
