Reservations
Reservations can be made if items are on loan or available at another branch.
There is a maximum of 5 reservations per person at any one time
(3 reservations for CAVAL and External borrowers). The items can be reserved through
the Learning Commons
catalogue
or at the Lending or Information Services desks.
Counter Reserve
Some high demand items may be found on Counter Reserve and are available for
in house usage for 3 hours at a time. There is a limit of 2 items at a time. Students
must have their own ID card to borrow Counter Reserve material.
Materials kept on Counter Reserve include books, periodicals, lecture notes
and past exam papers for some subjects.
Cross Campus Loans
If material required is located at another branch of the Learning Commons,
it can be borrowed directly from that branch or delivered to the home branch
for borrowing. Borrowed items can be returned to any Learning Commons location.
Audio-visual equipment should be returned to the Loans Desk rather than through the
return chutes.
